 My second challenge here at dpc was the wildlife challenge just about a year ago. It will be interesting to see if I do any better after a year here...
I'm not sure what kind of bird this is, not really being into such persuits. All I know is that they are tiny, and there are a bunch of them out in front of our house that keep eating the grass seed that we sowed last fall.
pp - cropped, sharpend a tad, cloned a bit of branch from around the tail that was distracting, adjusted curves slightly, NI, & resized.

I agree fox sparrow, I haven't seen that race since I left Oregon and forgot how mush yellow is on their bill. I was thinking European species. Great shot. Van

Nice and sharp with great color. Shallower DOF would really make the subject pop, but as the owner of mostly f/4 or smaller lenses I understand the equipment challenges. :)
