Love the tones and the shallow dof is exceptional. Had I been online to vote and comment on this at the time, I would have likely given it an 8 or 9. There are some truly spectacular shots in this challenge, to be sure, but what grabs me here is the gritty, hard light feel to the processing. Definitely post work choices that make it stand out from the rest, imo. Congrats on a good score!

Simple composition makes this a winner. The use of the frame while subtle is perhaps the strongest feature. Great lighting. Highly rated.

Nice concept and solid execution. I like the treatment as well, though it'd be nice if this could be processed so that the tips of the matches contrasted more with the matchsticks and rest of scene; not sure that's possible without selective processing (which violates the rules, obviously).
