Greetings from the Critique Club :)
I can't say much about this photo other that there is plenty of room for improvement :) My general view of this is:
1. It's out of focus
2. The subject is a bit on the boring side.
You have posted no comment to go along with it so I have no idea what your intent is. The topic doesn't really fit as a 'still life' because the motion of the broom is understood.
Better luck next time :)

Sorry for my comment yesterday, it was a very bad day and I kind of took it out on everyone. Your image.... interesting idea for still life but isn't sweeping a motion? The curled up broom bristles definitly imply motion to me at least. I think you would have beed better off laying it down on it's side on a pile of leaves or something like that, I would be more willing to call something of that nature a still life. DOF also needs work, very few photos are effective with the blur in the forground unless it is very strong, and even then it works better in the background to imply depth, it's a visual thing. |

I think this would have been an even better shot if we could see more of the broom as well as everything being in focus. Good idea |

Not sure how this meets the challenge but I'll give you the benifit of the doubt on that one. The shot is out of focus overall except for the very top of the broom bristles. The brightness of the shot is wanting and the contrast, or lack of causes the picture to look dull. A 3 |

I think this is a good composition. I just wish it were more sharp. :) |
