Becky-Lee, despite having a terrible cold, was again a great sport. My "studio" has disappeared under a pile of furniture and boxes along with my lighting, so I don't have much to work with, and it shows.
Shot through a fine mesh screen for the soft look, a reflected light to the right, another farther back on the left, and one behind the backdrop for the haloing affect.
Not happy with the lighting and I think I know how to improve it, just didn't have the setup or space today, and took pity on my sick model :)
Crop, levels, noiseware, USM, resize, USM, save for web.
Okay, no more shooting while on cold meds ;) I see loads of problems that I didn't even notice when I posted. Thought about a self-dq but decided to take my well-earned lumps. *sigh* |

Are you like me and working sometimes without a tripod? *sigh* I can see where you're going though with the soft focus idea. It compensates a bit for the blur to the shot. I've just bought a tripod (cheap one) and it helps tremendously with the blurring on the long exposures due to poor lighting. I LOVE the idea of this shot though! |

Pretty bad - very out of focus, and it's not clear what she is doing (ah...I see.....is she supposed to be making matches in heaven?!). I don't like it I'm afraid. |

I know someone was going to use the same pun I used, although I didn't use it in the same context but your's did come to mind.
Well executed too. |

Ha, cute pun but I am not sure why you choseto blur your photo. |

The blur (or soft focus as some would call it) is just way overwhelming on this image. It almost feels as though it is vibrating. |

soft focus and washed out colors don't help this one ... |
