| This could be a nice shot with a little more work. The focus is a little soft. A little more sharpening could help that. I would also suggest a little different crop. Maybe use the rule of thirds to place the subject a little more to the right, keeping both posts. |

| No offense intended, but this has got to be one of the most awkward looking herons I've ever seen! The pic is great, maybe a bit tighter crop from the sides, but other than that I think it shows us that even the most graceful of birds, looks like a geek sometimes :) 6 |

| A bit soft to warrant a higher score and the centered composition really takes away from an otherwise nicely captured scene. Even a vertical (portrait) crop placing the Heron in the right 1/3 of the frame would really strengthen the composition. |
