Thank you everyone for the votes for this. I am not a technically advanced photographer, just a hick clicker, so I am happy to have it finish as well as it did with the only edit being to crop a small filter tank off the left edge, and a little off the top. I used a fish eye lens to get the inside of the arch to show up. The other technical trick was to shoot into the sun so that the backlight would make the green grass glow with the light shining thru it.
I entered this image because it is just a pretty entrance way, and I thought that many of you who live where it snows would enjoy seeing a warm green place.
The garden is a family memorial to my friend Marlin Huffman, who loved plants and gardens.

Words like enchanting, beautiful, inviting, lovely, and "a bit off center" have been used below to describe this photo. All of these words can be used also to describe the man buried right underneath that stone bench in the middle of the frame, my grandfather. Great job on capturing this photo and matching the photo to the man who made this beautiful place his home.

Bruce_the_Robert - you've got it! Like I stated above, this photo is perfect....you may have missed that its a grave site, now maybe you will understand how truly perfect this photo is. Like all great art, the picture should capture the subject...and the subject in this case, is the man buried in the middle of the garden.

I like the subject, but there's too much going on here, and the details are overwhelmed by the confusion in color and light, and sometimes are lost (such as the purple flowers in the entryway).

Looks like the enchanted forest, or some fairy book setting. Wonderful color! I'd have cropped a bit off the left to eliminate that utility pole (I know, then the comp would've been centered - tough choice sometimes). Gest of luck to you in the challenge.
