| I really like the bokeh of the background - all the round sparkles. I wish I could see the subject a bit more clearly but I like it. |

| I like the composition of this image but feel that it is a bit over sharpened for my taste. I think it just makes it feel to pixilated especially in the waves in the background. Nice contrast of the bird against the water. If I'm totally wrong about the artificial sharpening, I apologize but that's what I'm perceiving. Still a great photo and an impressive capture. Good luck with the challenge. |

| interesting shot. the bokeh is really weird. if it's post processed, lose it. if it's the lens, don't point it at the water. |

| The sparkly bokeh is nice; the gull is in between detailed and silhouetted and with the closer wing kind of curled up that looks a bit odd. If that wing were stretched out with the body in shadow I think it would work better IMO. |

| I probably would have cropped more from the top but otherwise is very nice capture. The twinkles of light reflecting from the water really help to set the mood. |

| Two things that I find distracting here, the horizon seems to be tilted, and the DoF is a little too deep. The breaker in the background is at that midpoint where it should either be more in focus, or more out of focus. Right now it seems hard on my eyes. |

| looking at this allmost makes my eyes water, imo, with a little more light on the subject, showing some detail, this would have been so much better, almost impossible to achieve though, without ruening that great background, still a realy good shot, well done. |
