| The rough background doesn't seem so ideal for the birds in the size they have on the picture, they are not so good to discern from the background. |

| The gulls have rather got lost in this photo. A narrower depth of field might have helped isolate them a little. The alternative is waiting (and waiting, and waiting, if necessary) until they are closer to you so that they can feature more prominantly sizewise. |

| This is somewhere between a detailed picture and a silhouette, and the birds are not standing out really well. Catching them against the sky might have worked better at this time of day. |

| I'm sorry, this has the earmarks of a desperation entry. Not enough size or detail on the se(a)gulls, the busy surf detracts from the gulls as well. Could have been a good shot with a much bigger lens. |
