Greetings from the Critique Club: My first reaction to this is that it is flat overall. The hotspot and the red background carry the eye instead of the board. The shadow seems irrelevant and also too big for the image to carry the message I think you were trying to achieve. If you had moved the angle of the shot so that the board moved down and right, and then lit the green circuitry even more it might have been interesting. Possibly even moved the angle so that the circuitry was the central focal point?

Interesting contrast of colors but I think your lighting could be improved so that you don't get that hot spot on the back plate and I also wish the blue was more saturated and green wasn't so dull. The most vivid color is the background and I think it should be the green of the circuit board.

Good idea. I didn't even think of shooting electronics for the still life! I like the background here, I think it might have benefited from some more light on the component side of the board. The connector edge too does not come across as well as I have seen in other shots because of lighting as well.

Great lighting and background. The composition shows off the subject fairly well. But I personally don't find it very interesting.

I like the lighting used and I like that you tried a tilted angle, but this image and or subject still come across to me as no pop value. Maybe with the ame lighting get really close to one edge of the board and shoot the perspective that way. Of course depending on your equipment you might not be able to focus that close.

really not sure about this one - colours a little garish

nice balancing act. the red and green lighting is very 80's-technology-of-the-future looking. i would have liked to see more light on the circuitry side.
