I took a lot of criticsm on this one for being "fake looking" but, in reality, I photographed a CONTACT LENS which was.....fake looking! *grin* And, while a number of people commented on the "pixilized" look to it, in fact, this shot was really not very pixilated. The model had very shiney eyeshadow on with very different coloring to it, including specks of gold and silver. Another lesson I have learned in this. Don't take too close a shot on someone wearing "reflective" makeup!

I think a lot of voters didn't like this shot because it wasn't realistic looking. I've now learned that the voters in DPChallenge don't care as much for anything outside of the natural type of shot. That's ok. Ya live and ya learn.

This image is over-pixilated. I suspect you were not very close when taking this and cropped in too close. Definitely meets the challenge though.

This seems to have a "painted effect" for the colors. It makes the eye seem harsh and unreal.

IMO i don't know what is wrong with this picture, but it looks over processed to me, it does however fill the frame and i like the shot.
