 Spent the whole day out looking for birds. Our weather has been beautiful yet I was quite surprised at how few wading birds I saw today. Found this guy at a local fishing pier looking for handouts!

Technically perfect......a stellar photograph. I will vote it appropriately on its technical merits and meeting the challenge but it doesn't really grab me. Purely subjective, you see....

Very nicely done. Love how the blue backdrop brings out the white and orange. Excellent detail with little highlight clipping. And is that blood on the feathers near the back/underside of the beak? Ack! Well done.
