That was what I wanted. The blown out highlight are intentional. The shot, however, is not a very good illustration of what I really wanted. |

Yes, I'd say i should have chosen a different aisle and cared more about the balance of the shot. The books on the left are no less in focus than the ones on the right, but their dimmer contrast and less vivid colors make you think otherwise. Anyway, I'm just a beginner, but will try better. |

Thanks, everyone. Yes, the camera was sitting on a desk, the shot was somewhat in telephoto. |

Great use of the challenge. I really like the angle you used in this shot. Even though you don't see the table, its clearly a table-high angle. Focus is a little soft in the near field (a smaller aperture would help here) and highlights are a bit blown out at the top and far end. Also would have been nice to see a figure in one of the chairs at the end of the aisle, perhaps bent over a book, but still very nice as it is. 8 |

I like this, but the colours of the books are too plastic, I think this would have been better off in black and white. The light is good though. |

I get the feeling that it wasn't taken from a table-top but from the middle of the isle. |

Interesting perspective (which is the idea right?). One of my favorites so far. I love the blown out window at the end and also the isles..kinda weird I know. Anyway this is a wonderful photo, thanks. One negative for me is that it seems like the left books are softer focus than the right? That is probably just an optical illusion. |
