 I spent a lot of time thinking about an idea for this challenge. I've been trying hard to get a photo that scores higher than my average has been, and I thought this was a good opportunity. I was trying to come up with a small object that could have a more interesting background than just a solid color. In my photography class last quarter, we said that one of the ways to draw out a subject from it's background was with color. From that concept came this idea to put the cooper penny on top of all the silver coins. The editting was... well, minimal! ;)

color cast is holding this image back. focus not the best - maybe too close for the camera.

A very busy image, one that doesn't seem minimalist to me; the lighting doesn't work for my eyes, either, as is very harsh across many of the coins, especially the penny.

It would seem that this would fit the fill the frame challenge better. There is a lot going on in this picture - all the faces and words. The focus is not very sharp and the lighting seems too dark

I like the idea - Almost better in the fill the frame challenge - Focus is a little off - When photographing macros they tend to need to be pin sharp.
