 Taken at the San Diego Zoo, about an hour before closing. The sun was getting low in the sky, and most of the flamingoes were in deep shade. This girl was about 15 feet from me, and I was shooting with the 80-200 f/2.8 and a 1.4x teleconverter at f/2.8 (f/4.0 with the tc). The color is real. I think the keepers must have been feeding them a lot of red food coloring, because all of the flamingos were...um...flourescent. I actually dropped the saturation a couple of points during post, because it looked too unreal.

I gave this a 6. Colors are beautiful - I see you dropped the saturation - bet you were amazed you had to do that. From what I recall, I think the shallow dof wasn't 'working' as much I envisioned in this Challenge (hence the score).

Very nice except I don't like the beak is touching on the bottom edge.
