aiming for the brown on this one. not sure if i got it bad enough for sub 2.5 which is what i want.

it is actually me touching my nipple. the shot kept coming out too good so i used a timer then focused and ran towards the camera. BTW the title was misspelled on purpose to get more negative votes.

I hope you hate it:)

I am sorry that so many commentors wasted their time during voting. see this thread

all apologies, I gave you a 3 and no comment, I didn't mean to ruin your chances at a sub 2.5 :P

maybe ill have to aim for a brown ribbon sometime, i think its the only ribbon i can actually achieve lol

hahaha... I was going to say Brown Ribbon, but didn't want to hurt someone's feelings if they weren't really...

nice, I thought it was an ear or something... but imagining you running toward the camera with your finger on your nipple makes me laugh

Your aim is true! Sorry I gave it a 10. ...just kidding - I'm no anti-troll! :)

Is this the elbow trick?

I wanted to explain the 3 rating I am giving this photo. It has several problems: it is too small to really see what is going on; it is out of focus; it is not clear what is going on; the title has misspellings that show a lack of attention.

02/04/2007 09:16:33 PM
I wish I could see what you were pushing on....I would assume it was either a nipple or a belly button but I can't quite tell!!!
  Photographer found comment helpful.
02/04/2007 07:45:07 PM
This is just too abstract for my liking and is way too small to get an appreciation for what it is supposed to be. The spelling error in the title will probably lose you some score.

There's no detail in this image, I don't know what I'm looking at, nor am I interested in what IS being shown. Good luck.

Not even sure what this is. Is it intended to be completely out of focus?

just vote low. lol

The obvious - Way small, blurry, and unrecognizable! Check out the LEARN area of DPC. The Tutorials and the "How'd they do that" sections are extremely helpful! I go there often!
PS - The misspelled word in your title doesn't help either.

out of focus, too small, hardly recognizable. not even the title is spelled right
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/31/2007 12:27:00 AM
Too small, too abstract. It's hard to even tell what this is because of the size, but it looks like a cool concept if it were executed better! I would encourage you to do a re-shoot! :)

Too small

01/30/2007 08:08:53 PM
Very interesting. The miss spelling is clever. I can hear the photo scream out to me with delight. The small out of focus photo challenges the imagination and dares the viewer to think outside of the box. Anybody that rates this photo less than a 10 doesn't understand your genious.

01/30/2007 04:09:42 PM
too small and oof... and the spelling of the title is wrong.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/30/2007 03:26:17 PM
Small, out of focus, undefined subject, mistyped title. Try to have the camera on a sturdy tripod or table when in low light conditions
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/30/2007 02:56:24 PM
HI, Not sure if the spelling is on purpose, but I think you are going to get marked down on pic size. Also the image seems just too soft.

01/29/2007 08:33:23 PM
a little too abstract for me.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/29/2007 07:20:33 PM
Too small; poor composition/cropping and too soft of focus results in no distinct point of interest.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/29/2007 07:15:54 PM
I'm sure everyone will say the same thing. The photo is out of focus, it's too small, the title is badly misspelled and what is this?
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/29/2007 05:19:09 PM
2 spelling errors in the title, and a small, out of focus image of an obscure body form. I think I can identify whats going on here, but really, who knows?
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/29/2007 04:51:50 PM
Small and blurry, no idea what it is.

01/29/2007 03:54:15 PM
Seems a bit blurry. Also tiny. 160 pixels across is really not enough. Check the tutorials section for resizing hints. 4

I hope I'm safe in assuming that this is one of your first submissions. I am basing the following critique on that assumption. The members here are big fans of photography and most have very large monitors to view their craft. An image this size is often criticized because it shows up as only slightly larger than a thumbnail and all detail is lost. Many members (myself included) encourage everyone to use the full 680 pixels they are alloted so that we can better see what it is you are shooting. As far as the image is concerned, it is out of focus and you can barely see your subject. That would be OK in a more abstract challenge, but since this one is "nude", the viewers expect to see a "nude" subject. Granted, the body does not have to be fully "exposed", but nudity should at the very least be implied. You should also check your spelling before submitting an image. There are times when spelling is not as important, but when it comes to titles of artwork, people are kind of picky.

Out of Focus - Too Small - due to both of these I have to presume what the picture is which doesnt kind of work for me.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/29/2007 12:50:28 PM
ok I am not sure if this is a nipple or a belly button. Plus the size and the softness.
  Photographer found comment helpful.
01/29/2007 12:42:20 PM
sorry, but this is terribly out of focus, and the title is mis-spelled.

01/29/2007 12:26:05 PM
While I understand the title the picture is just too small and soft to really give it high marks.

probably somebody has commented on this before but:
1) it's "just"
2) it's "here"
3) this picture is wayyyyy too small. it's so small it's hard to criticize any other component of it other than its extreme smallness. if you need help resizing pictures to be the correct size or if you have any questions send me a message but i'd recommend checking out the "tutorials" section

I've spent at least 5 minutes trying to work this one out. I'm male and I'm not aware of anything on my body that resembles this. I've made an intimate study of the female anatomy as well and draw a blank on that score too. Please enlighten me.

A little on the small size ....don't suppose I'm the first to mention that. It's a good idea to use the full amount of pixels allowed so people can get a good look at your image.

Kudos on entering this challenge. Good luck with the next one.

01/29/2007 12:14:47 AM
I'm not sure what you are really trying to accomplish here. You picture is a little too blurry to see what it really is but maybe if it was a bit larger you could tell what is going on here. You can choose a picture up to 640 pixels so you might want to try that next time. Also you misspelled the word just. Good luck and keep it up. It takes a lot of practice to get to the top and I and still soooooo far away but my advice is from what I have learned. Good luck.
