 A rather simple picture taken at my work cafeteria. Perhaps this would have been better for the shallow dof challenge which is also at the same time. I somehow doubt such a shallow focus will be very popular in this challenge but I guess I had both challenges in mind today. Well we will see how it does.
Forgot that this was in basic editing and had done some editing with different layer masks and clone stamp. Good that I noticed it in time. Unfortunately though the colors had to suffer for it as I tried to use selective color to get the same colors, using my laptop monitor as well which can't be good :) Oh well.
Post processing: Levels, curves, selective color, hue/sat. Cloned out one speckle of sensor dust and sharpened.

I like how simple the subject is and how the mostly white background doesn't take away from the salt shaker.
