 Hello everyone.

This is a statue my mother has on her glass table. Shes absolutely obsessed with it, well today the lighting hit it just right and the gold was really standing out. I thought it was a great picture and really went to the extreme with the DOF.

The lighting was via Ikea desk lamp and ambient room lights.

If you can imagine how the statue is placed and what the camera location would have been.. there would a fireplace and white column behind it, But since I went very extreme with the DOF none of that is visible.

There seems to be some slight camera shake causing a lack of sharp focus. Or it could be that you might have autofocused and then moved slightly forward or backward which can be a common problem when working with very shallow depth of field

I like the subject but I find the light a little too harsh and would prefer to see the whole statue in focus.

I like the photo, but seems like there should be a tad more DOF. I find my eyes wandering around the photo trying to find the area in focus.
