Really well done! You did a great job in the contrast here, especially with the steam cloud on the right against the sky. Nice. |

I've been close to a paper factory as well and yes those are pretty stinky. Nice B&W picture. |

thank goodness that is only steam. My first thought was how horrible to live near all that pollution.
When I was in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, there was a paper mill in Escanaba that stunk the area up pretty bad. |

Very nice B&W conversion. I remember that smell well from driving through Georgia in the late 70's and early 80's visiting my grandparents in Florida. |

The smoke/steam and the lines in the clouds really make you see the textures in this shot. Nice job. |

This is an amazing shot; the steam criss-crossing, the jet trails higher up (at least that's what it looks like to me), the very crisp lines. I really like it (if you couldn't tell already). |

I love industrial photos! This is a great one: so crisp and clean looking. Great contrasts of the blacks and whites too.

Love this in b&w. I use to see these all the time when I lived in northern FL. |

I like that very much. Perfect tonality. The steam rising up in rounded billows is a nice shape variance to all of the linear geometry of the metal construction. |

Really familiar with this view (and the smell) having grown up in Rumford, ME where at the time the Boise Cascade plant was the largest operation under one roof - in the world!
A great capture and nice choice of using lower third for factory with the detail in the sky putting it in it's environment. It does not 'feel' like an anti-pollution statement, but rather a character study of a town's main employment center. |

Good picture. I grew up in a logging town and the logs were trucked 30 miles down the highway to the city with the paper mill. That city always stinks of sulphur, I hate the smell. |

I love shots of factories and chimneys and steam and pipes. They are so interesting to look at. Love this in black and white and the contrast is good. |

Very nice tones, the image looks very rich. I like it a lot.
I'd prefer it a bit wider I think though so more of the factory was in the shot. The chaos in the sky is wonderful though. |

Nice tonal range. I like the crisscrossing lines in the sky - probably from planes? |
