I'm starting out with a foggy shot of my favorite tree in Hopewell Township NJ. See, NJ isn't just interstate freeways!

I like the fence. I feel like I'm there- in your world, looking over the fence at the magic that fog gives to this gentle scene.

lovely shot. possibly cropping a little off the fence would bring the eye to the tree more deifinitely.

Great image, with nice tones and excellent use of fog; NJ is "The Garden State", after all! Maybe keeping the fence, but focusing beyond it instead would have worked for this (I like the context the fence provides).

Love the mistiness in this shot, gives the entire image a softness I just love!

The reflection of the tree in the still water is fab. Love the fence framing the foreground.

Really nice composition here and I love the way you managed to capture the haze *and* reflection.

I like the way the limbs over the water are mirrored, and the foggy morning look. I am sort of "on the fence" about the fence. I like it on it's own merit, and wonder if it should be so prominent in the image with the given title. I like the way the fog reduces the background putting attention on the subjects nearer the camera. This seems a very calming and still scene. Thanks for sharing your fav tree with all of us.

Love this shot! I want to crop the fence out, but the mood and the reflection of the image speaks to me. Well done for day 1, but you've set yourself a pretty high bar for the rest of the month. :)

Love the fog and the tree leaning over the water, almost appears as if it is looking at its own reflection. I am not keen on the fence though. I think it takes away from the atmosphere of the photo.

Well done fog shot. I have to agree about the fence distracting from the tree though. Maybe if it ran from corner to corner it would work better to keep the eye in the photo rather than pulling it away and out the bottom corner.

I can see why that is your favorite tree. I like the fog and the reflection.

You are all right, it does tilt. Funny I never noticed that before.

The fog and reflection of the tree is really nice. Agood spot for a mystery.

the fog is nice, I don't see the tilt really. I like the parallel of the fence and water's edge but I agree with megatherian that they don't lead the eye anywhere. small critique, because I do like the fence. maybe add a slight S curve using curves to add more contrast. i.e. pull down on the low midtones and pull up on the high midtone/highlights. just a suggestion, I really like the fog and reflection on the water.

Love the fog and the tree. It looks tilted to me, a bit to the left.

I like this shot. The tree is interesting and the fog adds a layer of mystery to it. The reflection really compliments the tree as well.

Suggestions for improvement (IMHO): Seems to be a little tilted to the left. The fence is nice but takes my attention away from the tree since it's so much clearer.

I love how that tree is dipping down into the water.
