 Taken on the way to work, I work in an office down by lake Ontario and take my camera with me everyday.
Not really to much done to this, I reduced the saturation of yellow which made the white on the tree stand out more, darkened the shadows lightened the highlights and increased the saturation on the sky just a bit, it really was a pretty colour.

I really like the dreamy quality of this image. The tree was a good subject and I like the way that you made it stand out from the rest of the photo.

Suggestions for improvement (IMHO): the spots in the top left corner are a little bit distracting. The same goes for the sky in the bottom right-hand side of the tree -- the colors seem quite different in that area and quite a bit darker. A little bit more detail in the snow would have brought it all together a bit more as well.

I love photos of trees, and this is a very interesting one! I like how you're drawn to the subject, and the rest of the trees are almost just dark shadows. Well cone done.

I like your eye for light and shadow. Since you don't mention dodging and burning on this, but rather highlight/shadow, can't wait to see you really doing stuff on the dodge/burn side! Your images are very dramatic.

WOW! You know, I love your work and this is no exception! The highlights and shadows are just enough to really make the tree POP and that sky is amazing.

This is so simple and beautiful and so hard to do well, but you've done it. The subtle sky tones soften the strong contrast of the birch but still have it stand out so strongly.

I like the curve of the pine fitting into the arch of the birch limb near it. Did anyone else notice that if you cover most of the upper part of the birch that the trunk looks like a hand?

the color in the sky is a gret hue of blue and balances well with the foreground. I wish the whole tree was in the frame, but just a small nitpick.

I love the Birch tree and the sky, but the pine to the left is dark and distracting. Could that have been lightened any?
