| If you're going to shoot a book from that angle, you should hold the detail on the texture of page edges. The lighting is too contrasty for my taste. |

| The book looks like it is one big block of paper if you look close to the spine. There are no details showing that there are actual pages in the book in that area. |

| Direct light made this ssubject flat. Looks like a tungsten light, since it give yellow cast. If you showed at least a litlle bit of the cover (some interesting and well recognize title) it would help. The focus is on the left upper corner of the book - the rest is blurred. Different angle could help definately. |
