Bob,
I think this is a really cool idea. I get the feeling that you took this as a snapshot, though, without really checking your lighting and DOF. Since it is advanced editing, I also think you might have benefited from some burning work around the devil's face to bring him out more.
I must say, though, that is a pretty cool-looking devil - it just takes a few glances before he's apparant. |

| Creeeepy. You did a good job bringing out the contrast of the grain. It's subtle enough that some of your commenters missed it, but smacks you across the face as soon as you see it. Good work! |

I stand corrected....I do see the devil in the center of the door. Sorry I missed it the first time (should drink and vote at the same time) lol :)

| oh, you put a mirror up to the door, didn't you? Great effect, and I enjoy how the door exactly fits the frame of the photo (I suppose you had to do that for the effect, but it works). then again, why isn't the doorknob in the reflection? Dud, you're freaking me out!! 8 |

| LOL- it took me a second to find the face. You could have cropped the top down to the horns and a bit of the messy bottom to get the image bigger for more impact. Nice face, though. |

| Took me a minute to find the demon, who is pretty nicely defined in the pattern. But the thing that grabs my attention first is the knobs, which I'm sure is not the point. Maybe if you had burnt the grain some more so the pattern stood out better? And/or cloned out the knobs altogether. |

| Mmm not seeing it. Its not appealing really, its just a door. Its not done in a creative way either. If the door was open with a dark stairwell it would give me more of a 'doorway to hell' feeling. This just makes me think of.... a door :P |
