Dukes Creek Conservation Area in north Georgia has a lot of special places like this...but I can't seem to coax the trout my way!

I couldn't disagree more with the scores you got on this photo. Maybe there just aren't enough fishermen in our ranks who can appreciate the sacrednous of a trout hole. When I saw the photo I could just picture the trout lurking in the eddy just waiting for a fly to float down through the current. Nicely done.

This is a lovely shot, the motion of the water almost makes me have to go to the bathroom, LOL! I like the overall composition of the shot and the crop is also well done. The top seems a bit bright but not too much and a bit more clarity in the rest of the shot would have scored you a 9 or 10, as is, an 8

Nice shot, I think there is too much greenery at the top and not enough foreground

Personally I would have liked a longer exposure here to show the water flowing like silk (It's just me though, I like pictures like that) Your picture is great, the only bit that torubles me is the leaves at the top.7

Whole image seems blurry as if the camera was handheld without enough light. Strong top 2/3rds but the bottom 1/3rd could easily be removed

Nice comp; good exposure; seems a little unsharp and unclear; perhaps movement blur for low shutter speed (not talking about the water, that's fine, its the tree and rocks...)

this is nice. i like the slightly slower shutter to get the motion in the water, but it also seems to have a bit of blur from camera shake...did you use a tripod? If not, that would solve it. the colours are nice, but seem a little too much. a little less saturation would help i think. good shot. -Pedro

this is a very pretty spot

However you might want to adjust your WB if you can. There's a slight blue cast here. Not enough to ruin the pic but I'm sure your getting that. Next time you try this bring a tripod. I know it's a hassle but in any low light situation I have found that I get cleaner, sharper pix if I use a tripod. I learned that when I was still shooting regularly with my old kodak. It's ecential now with my rebel. It also provides something stable to lean on when I'm trogging through the woods. I got mine at wallmart only $40 they have cheeper ones but when I went to price tripods realized this was a good deal.

Have you tried long sutter spped for a soft look?? You don't have to the pic is good as it stands It's only that I'm experementing with them and I've found it frustrating and ultimatly satifying when I get a good result.

good luck.
It's a beautifll stream

I like the flow of water thru the center of the shot. Wish there had been more light on the water, like on the bushes. Could be sharper.

can see some camera shake on the rocks and leaves. did you have a tripod? Nice composition, lighting, and color; just the technical aspects need a little work.

Peaceful image, but the rocks and trees seem a bit unfocused, probably due to the length of the exposure. Now that I've said that, I really like the peacefulness of this image and this certainly looks like a 'sacred' place to you, so good job on interpreting the challenge. Good luck.

My late husband would have loved to try for a trout in this "hole"! This photo almost looks like a lovely painting. Great job!

Did you use a Tripod? It seems to be a little blur. Anyway, nice work. :D
