lovely shot. great desat - just enough, but not too much. lends a dreamy, nostalgic air to the shot.

I do like the way you've processed this - really brings out the dog and creates a sort of "other world" kinda place.

excellent post processing! I almost expect to see fairies to be flying about!

Oh ROZ! Very cool! Kind of Over the Rainbow effect. Really nice depth that you have created.

I like the selective desat. editing! The lighting looks really neat coming thru the trees

I like it, your dog almost looks like a mountain lion from behind.

I really like the desat here, too; did you do this "by hand"? I'm still learning selective desat, and I find it takes me forever, and I probably wouldn't have done the leaves for just that reason (though, IMHO, it makes the image really stand out). I'm actually glad you kept the full height of the image; to my eyes, there's a different feel in each vertical third of the photo which is very pleasing to me.

The PP is very cool. Interesting selctive desaturation. I like how the trees merge with the path.

I like your pp on this shot. Really made your pooch stand out. I too agree though that I would crop this down to the bottom half of the photo.

Interesting how well you brought out your dog's body from the original. The small splashes of color and the DOF make me see it as the dog and the green leaves against a B&W backdrop. Not sure if that's what you intended ...

Interesting shot. I like what you've done with it. I would prefer a tighter crop, maybe just the bottom half. I find the darkening you've done to the top to be a little distracting.
Oh, and nice dog. :-)

Roz, I love the pops of color you kept in the submission. It really frames your dog so very well.

totally photoshop!!!

Oh Roz!!!!!!!!!!!! What a COOL photo! Your dog looks like she is just basking in the glory of that awesome place, totally unaware that you are anywhere around taking her photo! It looks beautifully de-saturated -- that perfect kind of desaturation where you can't really tell if it was done in photoshop or naure. Beautiful job!
