I think you did a great job making it look like someone who just vomited.
I'm not bothered by the line in the background - in the real world, people don't live on pure white backgrounds. I'm also not bothered by the "busy" nature of the milk carton - that's real, too.
I like skewsme's alternate title "Sour Cream" though. :) |

I gave this a 4. The concept was 'ok' in my opinion, but what held it back mostly was the 'busy' milk carton and the 'line' in the background. I liked the idea of 'holding the stomach', but that was probably the strongest 'personification' aspect, in my opinion. The 'vomit illusion' was quite well done - but is never going to be that pleasing to look at, for most. |

This fits with the idea of 'intolerance' - in that he is throwing up. But actual lactose intolerance is more associated with symptoms of gas and diarrhea rather than vomiting. In that he is a milk container, it doesn't make much sense. It would be like being intolerant of your own contents - auto-immune maybe. I know I'm taking this really far but you asked for comments ;-)
I understand you needed something perhaps thicker than milk to show as the puke, but this really looked like 'other' to me. I thought it was sour cream. Actually, sour cream might be another title for the photo.
What you did with the carton, however, is really excellent. Very very personifying and creative. And I think your good score reflects this. Good job overall. I like this better than your alt, which wasn't as clean or interesting and probably would have proved to be too controversial. |

One of the most creative images I've seen in a long time. This one will have me laughing for several days. Great job. |

nice idea. I am not sure I like the reflective surface for this shot... Just something dark for a contrast with "lactose" would do. I would also try to avoid the border between the floor and the background. |

The drip coming out of the spout is a nice touch here. |

Is this a scalvert entry? I seem to remember a previous entry with glue used in place of milk. I could be mistaken.
Anyways, interesting take on the challenge. I like the subtle irony you've portrayed here. |
