Greetings from the Critique Club!
The composition is simple but very effective, a vivid portrayal of a crucial scene from the well known story. The hand and apple are well placed to convey your message. A more realistic background would have been nice as would better focus. But lighting is really the key to an image like this. You have a strong key light on the right, which is good. But either other lights or reflections make the shadows too light. A single small light with no other lights or reflectors would case stark shadows and make the image more dramatic. Probably too much so, but start there and add just enough fill light to define the shapes of the hand and apple yet keep the shadows dark. It would also be interesting to experiment with a red fill light (or red poster board to reflect some of the key light back to the subjects). |

| I think you had a great idea for the challenge. Technically, the shot seems out of focus and I would suggest a different background. |

| I'm not sure if you shot this out of focus to simulate Snow White's fainting after having bitten into the apple, but it doesn't work for me. I would have picked another background since we can see too many hairs on the forearm. Aslo the creases in the upper left corner take away from this already too bland image. |

| The focus is distracting to me in this shot. Either sharper or softer. Colour is good, composition works. A neater background would be helpful also. 4 |

| way too blurry. The layout of this picture should look more elegant to give a feeling of "Snow White". RIght now it just looks like someone was holding the camera and took a picture of their hand stuck out next to an apple. Background, focusing, and better lighting would really improve this photo, because the title you have chosen is a good one. |

| It is out of focus. hot spot on apple could have been removed by turning the apple.. Are you using a tripod? |

| This is rather blurry. Could benefit from some sharpness, and the light is a bit harsh as well. |

| Lovely subject, I like it, and unique in this challenge! :-) Anyway I think the background could be more homogenic - all black, and maybe you could have ironed the canvas before photographing -, and this shot could be also sharper, especially the hand, and lighting could be less harsch on the hand, too. |

| A good concept, but a bit blurry. Had it been a bit sharper, it would have been a lot better IMO. The apple on black creates a very nice contrast though! |

| Ha! good one. The hand/arm appears to be a child....I may be wrong but think a womans hand would of been better. [LoL maybe your just young-duh!] I think the composition and idea is fantastic. The focus is soft but over all the shot is okay and fits the challenge well. Points for creativity. |
