Cropped no PP. It was a cloudy day. The stern wheeler is a tour boat, and is diesel powered. I heard the whistle for the bridge from home, and quickly loaded up and drove about 5 miles to get ahead of it to where my son docks his sailboat. The batteries went dead in my camera when I shot the test shots when the tour boat was about 45 seconds from getting into position. Fortunately, my bag goes with me when I am walking with my camera. It was 60 deg F at the time.

The composition is great in this picture. It comes off as an un-bordered triptych. Why did you not spend any time post processing? A short work in PS would greatly enhance the image and take it to a better level where the people who spend two seconds viewing an image might decide to spend more time on this one.

Perhaps burn the water and sky a bit. Dodge the whites of the vessels and drop a strong sharp on it. At least a point if not two in a challenge setting.

60 deg F, thats so nice! I wish it was that here! you dont even need a jacket for that kind of weather. Nice shot glad you had your batteries. Looks like a nice sail boat to.

I like that paddle steamer.....expecting the cast of 'Showboat' to come out and do a rendition of 'Old Man River'....lol.

I love those little canoes in photos. I don't know why, but they add such a touch of class to any photo! I like this one!

Nice, not just a boats but paddle steamers. I thought they were only used as 'showboat'/casino type affairs, lots of glitz etc, but this one looks like a ferry?
