Interesting, but doesn't show the "art," nor does it depict good, however much I like the lute.

Lovely shot. Nicely lit. I might have used a bit more DOF, but that's a minor thing.

Great subject/composition. I would have liked to seen all of it in focus though. 7

This picture feels out of focus. There is no reaso for such a shallow depth of field. I do like how well it is framed though. Nice work!

Is it true that luthiers spend 80% of their time tuning and 30% of their time playing out of tune? Nice shot..good color and crisp.

Not sure I understand the "good' reference here, but its a nice photo.

this may just be my personal taste, but i think this would be a really great shot if it was a little more in focus in the front. lots of texture, color, funky symmetry going on here.

If only it had better focus

I would of scored this higher if the depth-of-field included the entire instrument. It was much too shallow for my taste.

Nice shot and good use of a short depth of field but I think you could have benifited with just a tad more. I'd have liked to see all of the...er...tuning pin thingy's be in focus.

You will probably suffer from the same effect as me - people won't see connection to "Good" in it. Maybe if the subject was fully visibe, it would've help. In this picture the focus is on the string. I would think it is more about "well tuned" than "good piece of a luthier art". I have no idea what kind of instrument it is, but I can understand your idea.
