 First, I apologize to anyone that saw this on eyefetch and knows it's mine. I had another in but decided on this one since my family likes it so much.

Taken during a camping trip to Ventura, CA. My husband and dog slept in the camper while I went out and chased birds around the estuary. The egrets were extremely cooperative and not really afraid of me.

Crop, levels, hue/sat, cloned out some muck in the water. Resized and saved for web.

I really love the reflection - the crop is good... I like the softness in the feathers... these birds are so unique - lovely colors in this shot.

That moment just before breaking into water surface and the definition of the human like body, echo of lines in beak and legs, all delicious. Don't mind circular ripple.
