I found this beautiful rose, but even Mother Nature can have her off days.
Two petals have imperfections.
I wish I only had two :)

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

This composition is fairly plain with no particular elements of strength. The background seems to be a bit contrasty as well. I think a closer composition that removed the background completely would work best in this case.

This shot is also out of focus. I think that was probably one of two major contributors to the score being on the low side of average. The second contributor is that I believe you missed the theme of the challenge.

Flower photography is something that I hope to get better at. I have been practicing with it and making a few strong photos. It's about like working with any other subject... look for interesting angles and something that is not your normal point of view...

Pretty shot. I'd like it better with enough depth of field for the bottom leaves to be in focus.

lovely colors. that yellow really glows out of the pink. I like having the green out of focus but I wish all of the flower was sharp. Also a bit more contrast?

This seems very soft to me without having the mood set by a deliberate soft focus. The colors are good, doesnt appear to have any blown out hightlight, contrast isnt bad, and it nicely fills the frame. I think the major flaw is that it is just not sharp enough and thus loses quite an impact.

Its out of focus, a little dull and for a flower, its same old same old. Maybe if you used different lighting and took it at an interesting angle
