I missed this shot during the challenge. It is very creative and flawless for processing. It always surprises me when the voters miss a gem like this image. Great work as always! |

Beautiful. The processing combined with the set up makes it very artful. |

This is great! And so has your clean razor sharp style. I'm surprised this one isn't way way up there!

I wonder how you post-processed this. The paprika's have a surreal quality to them. The black border doesn't work for me. Interesting. |

this reminds me of Modernism for some reason, a kind of affected allusion to previous traditions. 7 |

This photo is simple, which I like, but I think I like the colours and smoothness best. What techniques did you use? |

This is good. I'm interested to know how you processed this. It really looks like a painting. |

The peppers look fake here, not sure why. Great set-up though. |

Good composition, lighting and color tones. An above average shot but there are a few things that can be improved to move it into an outstanding shot. First off is the high gloss sheen on the red bell peppers both adds to the appeal and detracts. The sheen on the peppers, especially the one on the bottom right at times appears to me as unnaturally over-saturated or has a look that makes it pop off the page as unreal....hmmm, mayhap I think part of it may be due to the fact that that one 'appears' if it is hovering over the table top because of that slight edge at the bottom of the pepper that rests slightly above the table and does not touch the table. Without some shadow fall it really tricks my eye into seeing it as 'hovering' But getting over that and forcing myself to overcome that visual that high gloss sheen on the vegetables still acts as a bit of a distraction. Eliminating it entirely would flatten the look of the vegetables and ruin the visual appeal of the image overall. Toning it down would be the answer - going over the peppers by using a clone tool with a opacity of 30-40 will help tone down the sheen but still keep some of it. Lastly the bottom 10% of the image does nothing to complement the overall image. Cropping off the end of the table and the negative space beneath it would help increase visual appeal. As it stands now the end of the table and the negative space beneath it breaks up the image by showing us a 'hard line' that cuts across the bottom tenth of the image. |
