 Enchanted Rock is a HUGE rock raising itself up right out of the Texas Hill Country, not too far north of where I live in San Antonio. My husband and I like to go up there and hike to get conditioned for our mountain hiking in Colorado. Course, its not the same, but it is very steep, and it does take the wind out of ya if you scramble up it fast. There's a several mile trail around the rock with a final ascent to the top. I really love going there, and we go pretty often.

After the hike, we go into Fredericksburg, Texas, a little charming German town close by and have German food and a German beer :) Makes for quite the date.

Nice shots of the rock. I never actually did go out there and climb up the darn thing!

It looks like a very pretty place to hike but I'm not too sure if you'd see me hanging off that steep side ;)

Very cool perspective shot by including the climber against the rock face. Really gives the viewer a sense of size.

That Texas countryside looks nice and green for Feb. It looks like it would be fun to rappel down this face of the rock while taking pics all the way.
