Challenge: Book Titles (Classic Editing)
Camera: Sony Mavica CD400
Location: Lake Livingston State Park, Texas
Date: Nov 11, 2003
Aperture: f2.8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/200
Date Uploaded: Nov 11, 2003

I took this photo over my head at Livingston State Park, Texas. I had a spider shot and the Ray Bradbury title in my head already. The camera did not cooperate as, in macro, it would not focus on the 1/2 inch spider. Had to preset focus for .1m and hand hold at different distances. This is one of two in focus of 40 shots.

I think this should have done better, although it did quite well. Going in my favorites. Keep up the good work.

Nice capture... very clear and B&W was a good choice. Looks like something wicked is going in the other direction, tho... :)

The black & white really adds a spooky effect - well done.

I really like this shot; very eerie mood, and the B&W works well.

Nice capture, good detail on the spider and web, good DOF. It might be just me but I wish I could see the colours on the spider. 8

great macro shot & I love that it is in b/w, which I think gives it a certain extra something to the title. Meets the challenge very well. Even more, the blurred BG adds something more as well. I think it is a perfect shot. Gonna give it a 10!

wicked? Spiders get such a bad rap :P But seriously, nice photo. I'm not sure it portrays the menace that I would expect for such a title.

one of my favorites in the challenge. i like the DOF a lot and how the web can only be seen in a few places. Good placement of the spider. Also excellent title, used correctly for the challenge. 10
