 It only *seems* like all of these pictures are within a block of each other..

The ice which recently formed on the Chicago river shattered, and I couldn't pass this one up.

Great shot. Like the composition. And winter has always been my favorite season, and Chicago one of my favorite towns ... seems you have a winner here, IMO.

I like the angle and the composition. And of course, the subject! Where did you go to take it? I've never seen a way down to the water's edge on that part of the river. Love the pilings. Have you seen 'em sprout plants in summer?

Wow! That looks like some fierce cold! It's so interesting to see it all broken up like that instead of all frozen over. What a cool photo!

Nice to see your Chicago photos. We haven't taken the same shot yet, but we're certainly hanging out in the same areas! It's been too cold to wander too far.

Nice shot, well exposed, and good foreground choice with the old pilings for interest. I would like to hear the ice crack up like that someday.
