Yum! Nice interpretation and great use of color. The foreground garlic seems a bit burnt out though. |

You have a great picture to represent the book title. Kinda blurry but my vote is 10. |

Great set up, I like the background color. Good composition and good idea. My only pick would be the garlic blends into the tablecloth a little too much, might have been better to rest it on the tomatoes or peppers? Very nice work. |

Bloody hell, someone wrote a whole book about Salsa? A WHOLE book?
Reasonable shot - but overlit, I think: you've taken almost all the shadowsing away, and it's shadowing that gives depth and texture and the third dimension to photography. There is SOME, of course, but it's very slight, very (too) subtle. Still, at least you didn;t take it with a full frontal flash. Slightly over-exposed on the garlic and the cloth too - you could have taken at least half a stop off I think. Pretty enough composition, but I find no excitement in it I'm afraid. 6 |

Very well shot. Love everything about it. The colours, the sharpness, the composition. The background and foreground were carefully chosen. This would have scored well in the still life challenge as well. Here is illustrates the title very well. The only tiny thing is that your border looks like it got chopped off. Still very good image. |

Great peachy background! Maybe a bit too much clutter in this shot- rethink it in the foreground cause the back is superb. |

I'd like to see this with some levels adjustments to bring out more detail in the white areas. |

This is so beautifully composed and such great colors, but I would like to see it more in focus. |

I think the foreground would have been better if it had not been white. It blends in too well with the garlic. |

Excellent photo. And reminds me of times (long ago gone) when I used to do this at home. I don't know if the lace underneath is the best choice to enhance the photo, but it has to do with "homemade stuff" so I think it's OK. Here it goes my chances to get somewhere on a nice place in this competition. But if a photo is good, a photo is good so you can't help it and you have to rate it as deserved. 10 |

This picture has fabulous colors. I like your background and the colorful salsa ingredients, but I wish the tablecloth were a different color, so that it would contrast more with the garlic and onions. |

really worthy of a cookbook - good color, composition, crisp...a few highlights that are unfortunate |

Wonderful light and color. I think the shot would of benefited with a different colored table cloth....?that or if you'd moved in tighter. Still I admire this shot, it's very good. Artistic set up. Good luck in the challenge, you'll do well. |

why use the ugly table covering? why not buy some white paper? would have made for an amazing still life. as it is i like it, but the tablecloth is pretty bad |

Excellent colors, lighting is great too. I could easily see this as an actual book cover. The food all looks appetizing and is arranged very well. I do wish there was a little more sharpness throughout the photo - the way the scene is composed all of the food items seem important to the image so I think it would be better if they were all in sharp focus. Well done. 7 |

i'm not sure if its over exposed, or just a really bright surface, but either way the bottom section is a little harsh on the eyes and a strange progression from the warm gradient above in the backround |
