Just good ol' Hamlet with his fruit from days gone past. I thought the cantaloupe would have an interesting texture. I'll need to keep the outtakes of this one hidden to avoid blackmail.

I used my groovy wide angle lens so the fruit would look large relative to my face.

PS: I converted to b/w with the channel mixer with high reds and greens and low blues. I selected the center of the photo with a gradual feather and lightened the mid tones inside, then inversed and darkened the tones outside. I also added contrast the same way with more on the outside edges than on the inside. One perhaps controversial thing: I blurred the background with the blur brush.

Great job with the wide angle lens! Definitely has a lot of impact with the cantaloupe looking larger. I gave this a 10 and I think you just did a very good job being dramatic and humorous and technically great all at the same time.

I think B/W is a very gutsy choice for this challenge ... you pulled it off really well ... good details in the melon
