Neat idea. Good job on the execution and the selective desat. |

I hope this is a ribbon winner. It is so clever and has a great story to it. Love the expression and I love the colors! Good luck! |

oooh, if only it would look like juggling using perspective for each vegetable & fruit and hand placement - "juggling a healthy diet"?...nice concept anyway. |

Coley --------> well...feel free to collect another ribbon along the way ;) adding selective desat to the mix is completely unfair to the rest of us. |

Nice shot love the magician face. Would like to have seen some shadow casted by the fruit and veg on the wall. This would give the shot more depth. |

Great idea! Love the different fruits and veggies. A little bright in some places though. Really like the way you removed all the color except the objects of importance. |

Very nicely setup. Well composed and sweet idea. At least no one is jumpin off a roof this time. Love the use of B&W with color. Nice work. |

we meet again Cooley? This is you trade mark now: floating fruits and veggies, top hat and sepia...oh and your daughter ;) Not as impressed with this one though. It's good but not a good as previous work. THe lighting isn't great which makes everything look flat, but maybethat's what you wanted. 7 |

A very creative and good composition! But it is the expression on the model that has me wondering: "Should the magician be surprised at the magic he/she casts from their own hands or should they have a cool & composed mysterious look about them as they cast their magic?" I don't know but it is one thing that makes me pause as I look upon this photo. Heh, you know what I just realized? You almost followed an artist's color wheel pattern! Had you positioned the yellows together to fade into the oranges then fade into the reds you would have a perfect fruit & vege color wheel! O.K. tones are very good with the small exception that the sleeve & hand of the foreground arm blends in a tad too well with the outstretched arm. Not sure how to correct it to make them a little more distinct in tones - a tiny bit of dodging mayhap??? The colors of the fruits and vegetables really pop off the page. The striped wallpaper as the backdrop is a tad distracting to the main composition as a whole. But in an odd way it can help add to the illusion of that of a magician standing on a 'curtained' stage performing his/her magic tricks. |

nice idea, but it's obvious the fruits and veggies are photos sticked to the backdrop - it's the missing shadow. banana and broccoli are very pale, too. |

Coley, I was gussing you'd do something like this for this challenge. I'll be looking for again in the top 10. |

This is a really fun concept!
To me though I'd have gone with a much less distracting background, there is already a lot going on. The hand positions seems a little odd to me too... seems like the "magician" should look more in control of the fruits and veggies instead of suprised that they are floating. |
