Sheeeeit P, you're the man. Training him to be a great model as well I see. Really like the lighting here and how the top of his head disappears into the dark. Good stuff. |

Another exceptional portrait of your boy. Beautiful lighting and tones on this one. He has quite the ability to draw the viewer in, doesn't he? |

OMG, P!!!!!! Just fabulous. I love how he is just coming out of the darkness with an almost blank expression. Is he scared? Is he mad? I like that it's left up to our imagination. Brilliant, my friend. |

@Roz - it's a Quadtone - mine adapted from Ken Lee's (random aside - I talked to Ken over the weekend...what a great guy - his personality seems as brilliant as his quadtones ;))
I like the depth the additional colours give it...though on the less accurate monitor of my laptop the colours are far more pronounced and doesn't look nearly as rich as on my PC. As a pure duotone it didn't seem to have the same eerie quality it found like this. I appreciate the input though, Mark - many thanks :) |

Peter!!!!!!!!!!
This picture makes me twirl. Its so good I actually get goosebumps. I love love love the lighting and editing, how you have J set up in the frame.. the fact that his arms fade out at the bottom fits the entire mood.. his direct stare is almost haunting... so serious for such a wee man. He is such a brilliant model.. having heard his infectious laugh and seen his goofy side this presentation of him is such a departure from the light hearted little boy.
You two make such a great team.. he is sooooooooo very much your son.. I see it more and more as he gets older.
instant fav. (curious: is that your quadtone or the ken lee finish?)

Great concept. The whole image works well. I do see some magenta and cyan hues through the boys stomach and chest, almost where ever there is a shadow. IMO removing these hues to produce a pure two toned image would increase the overall appeal.
Well done though Pedro, very effective image. |
