 I saw this opportunity when my daughter placed her violin on the chair. I loved the colors and was going dor a "dark" look and didn't want much lighting. The lighting in the room was dim and I used a flash with a cover on it - tipping it away from the object. Not much on editing, just some contrast and maybe brightness... I am new at this and just need some ideas

Wow, nice violin. Mine has a million nicks in it- looks like you just polished! I like the way the bow is places, almost like its getting ready to be played. My only problem would be that the picture all around is kinda dark, but otherwise, great composition!

colors are nice, but the composition is pretty flat.

The dark tones of this make the image very subtle. I don't like how the pillow behind the violin is cutting across the image in two places. In addition, a little better lighting on the violin would likely bring out the warmth of the varnish on the wood.

For sure a pose ;) but perhaps just finished a practice? This is a tad on the dark side. I would like to see a little more of the beautiful grain on that wood :)

Great idea with the setup. The whole color scheme and composition is very pleasing. I just find the image a bit flat lighting wise. This one definitly needs some contrast/levels adjustments.
