FL 64 mm on tripod. 8 second exposure with very little ambient light. I dropped a lemon slice from about a foot above then fired a hand held flash just back and of left and high on the kerplunk. Mopped up after each of about 40 shots. Backdrop was a 2 meter by 2.5 meter piece of very dark blue fabric (that I thought was black) that draped from a piece of plywood behind a short table then over the table.

PP: Crop, Levels, Brightness, Contast, Curves, Spot Clone and Heal dust on backdrop and very tiny spray droplets that were very hot (reflecting strobe flash). Dodge, Burn, Lower Brightness on backdrop but for a oval vignette shape around the glass (it took a while). Shadow of glass and splash on backdrop is original. Hue and Sat and selective colouring. Originally the "Ice Tea" was water with light purple colouring in it. Neat Image and Resize and USM.

... because I opened the shutter in an almost blackened room then dropped the lemon and flashed an outboard strobe by hand at the kerplunk ... all done manually ... :)

This is a lot harder to do than it looks. I know because I tried it. I like the colors. Why did you have such a long exposure?

Good timing; nice colors in the splash. The tea itself is a little murky ('cuz it's tea) which makes it hard to see any evidence that the lemon caused the splash.
