In -20 degrees there wasn't a lot of activity on the street.....otherwise I would have waited longer for a frontview shot. I'm sure I'll here about it in the critiques.
Regardless, I had fun editing the Mural....
I also read, and Re-read the editing rules several times to make sure I wouldn't get disqualified for a record 3 consecutive challenges entered. (Yes, I've learned it's wise to read all of the rules before entering a contest)
Originally, thought this was a Mexican Mural, but after a little research I found out this was a Hmong Mural. Couldn't translate "Very Cold" to Hmong though.
Here's the info. and the website to look at the entire Mural. //www.cityvisionministries.org/mural_arts.html
The title of the Mural is
"Facing the Past Looking to the Future": A Kansas Hmong Storycloth, 2005. 749 Minnesota Ave. Artists Gambino & Faus, K. Her, J. Her, M. Her, Hernandez, Jackson, Mijares, Moua, Smith, Taylor and Xiong. |

Very bold and bright! I like how the coats match the wall, too. |

This is one of those rare shots where the back of the head shot actually works, since the point is the complementary colors in the people and the mural. Nice found moment. |

seems to be oversharpened (tree branches, walk way, fence poles) |

The contrast of the snow and the vivid colors make this a captivating shot. 10 |

I like the way the colors match between those jackets and the wall painting, but the painting takes too much importance in the picture. |

I get the sense that the image is about the mural and that the people are almost inconveniently stuck in the corner. I think this image would have been stronger with more emphasis on the people. |
