I wondered if this one were yours when I viewed it! To be honest though, there were several- 4 or 5 maybe- that I thought might be.
I was one of your 81 fives. Issues were primarily composition, as well as some softness.
As for your composition, while I do think that this does a pretty good job of communicating the circumstances (ie it "tells a story" as so many like to say), I think that it suffers primarily from being too far away (a tighter crop would elimnate so much of the brick wall at the subjects' left and also the alleyway beyond the intersection), and also from your pov: no faces, only their backs. I noticed so many shots from behind, and I totally understand why, but I think the best STREET PHOTOGRAPHY shots included faces.

I would have submitted this one for the ice challenge. Great shot! |

Great!! I really like this - definitely tells a story (and a fun one at that) and has very nice lines and angles to it, too. |

A back of the head image that works. You can really see how the girl on the right is steadying her balance against the ice. |

this isn't as interesting to me as someone coming from the other direction, peering around the corner, afraid for his life to continue. perhaps you were waiting for the better pic, but it didn't come? |

All subjects having their backs to the camera make this image a lot less interesting than it could have been, good idea otherwise! (5) |
