I'm not going to say too much about the photo, it is very well exposed and a creative shot. I'll just say a few "nitpicks", very minor stuff and doesn't take away from the shot. The bar going through the head of the other and the bar in line with the boot. It probably could have been recomposed to remove these little distractions. I also think it might be a little over sharpened for this resolution as I see some haloing and around the hat.

Overall very minor stuff to a well composed, well thought out image. A good score and a very refreshing scene (the expression on the one makes the shot).

Why this didn't rank higher, I have no idea.

it's an interesting shot, but the black & white almost makes it seem too busy.

Captures the quintessential essence of grunge street photography, yet is original. What makes this interesting is the expression on the closest guy's face sitting on the step - despite his 'menacing' appearance, he has an almost benevolent look, which provides a detour from the cliche. Great work.

like this one a lot. like the colors, the processing, the compo, the diagonal elements, especially the expression on that guy's face. even the title works well. a little vignetting or burning of the outside edges of the image would have made it perfect. 9.

Love the grittiness of this shot - tells a story - Nicely done!

Love the tonal quality of this picture. Gives it a much more rugged and authentic B&W look than most.

I think this is a beautiful picture but it seems to me over saturated.....JMHO

It's a good picture, quite good, but I must say, I really, really dislike it when someone makes it known which picture is theirs by posting images from the same shoot to their portfolio. It just is something I don't much care for.

I remember an outatke of this shot in your portfolio. As much as I like this one I think I preferred your portfolio image better. It may have had more of a "posed" feel to it but the composition was stronger and a bit more simple and clean without the 3rd person. Still excellent work and a great job on the editing.

You had the nerve to enter this photo after diluging DPC with outakes of this exact group of people in the exact location since the challenge started even with all this ranting about posting outakes going on lately?

Man ... Surely you are gonna get punished by the voters that get around the site here at all, if not the "Outake Police" ... Surely someone or someones are gonna write up a ticket on this one.
