It was actually a warm and sunny day. I was getting overheated in jeans and a sweatshirt. I chose to shoot in b/w to give the illusion of cold where it was not cold at all. I liked the desolate look of these four gnarly cottonwoods along a bleak horizon.

First impression and many seconds later, I don't feel the b&w adds to the image. I think the trees are a little lost in the landscape and I find my eyes are drawn to the bottom & left corner - the darker areas. 5
