"Dream ride" was a good entry into the Street Photography challenge. I know this was defiantly not something that I would have expected to see in the challenge, which is always a compliment.
At first glance the image draws you in because there is so much to see, unfortunately I think this takes away from the focus that should be on our subject. I think you had a great concept, and I bet it was extremely hard to capture this at night and its not like you could just ask them to move the calandria. I think based on this shot you might have tried to leave the color in, to help the focus. Also I would be curious to see it cropped a little tighter to take out some of the distraction. I think you did a very good job working with the limited light you probably had.
Overall I think you did an excellent job finding a subject that is different. Looking at your portfolio you defiantly have cool perspectives and I look forward to your future entries. |

is kind of funny how he's sleeping. the photo overall is a bit flat and lacks the punch to pull him out of the background (which doesn't seem to be directly effecting him in a useful way), the way i would really like |

too many elements here and one has to look hard to dicover so many things . the carriage mixes up with the background to an extent that the top half is aalmost merging with the background. Maybe a a seletive desat or a color image would have been a better choice. |

I feel that this would have benefitted from a shallower depth of field (hard at night, I know - and I am not sure whether I could have done it) in order to let the horse and carriage stand out, as the background is very busy. On first pass I failed to notice the resting driver who, at the end of the day, is the 'subject'! I would like to see the photo more titly framed, perhaps cropped so that just half the carriage and half the horse are included. |

This shoot just seems to blend into one image, and not in a good way. The tonal ranges ot poor and leading to a jumbled mess. sorry |

HA, talking about less is more: 500 hp vs. 1 hp! I only wished the the background would be more blured to bring out the cage much more. A little tighter crop on the right side and the sign would be gone. |

Wow what a beautiful shot, love the composition, the water in the background. The sharpness and clarity are right on. Great subject and idea. Well done. |

Now that's a nice setting! Difficult lighting to deal with, too. FWIW, I think the b/w conversion is somewhat flat, at least to my eye. |

There is a lot going on in this image and it is just too distracting for me. |

problem with the dream ride is that it isn't separate enough from the background so it gets blended all together and lost. It took me awhile to find the outline of the carriage and as I was typing this I finally noticed the sleeping driver. A great idea but depth of field killed you. |
