 California Blue Oak perched on a hillside in the East Bay hills between Concord and Walnut Creek ... shot with a polarizer to max out the blue in the late afternoon sky. That's a bird perched on the uppermost branches

i can see how this shot could be brilliant. that tree has quite a lot of character ... you need to get lower and cut out the ground completely. that awesome tree and just blue sky. would be a winning shot. 6!

Beautiful colors and clarity...I do find the horizon line, which splits the image in two horizontally, a bit of a distraction...I think more sky or more foreground would make the image a bit more dynamic. Still a solid entry for this challenge.
