 actually pretty basic stuff - two layers of multiply, one of blur, with layer masks. that's it!

i walked up the middle of the dock, then came down the side, taking VERY big steps. i knew i was going to blur that part, so a little cloning and a little blurring made the few steps that were visible disappear. the footsteps down the middle have a mulitply layer, as they just didn't show that well otherwise.

this is a colour image!

That is a sweet shot. Very emotive.

Did you carefully step in your own footprints coming back to the camera? Climb out onto the ice and walk backward toward the camera?

Take a long walk off a short pier. Suicide by drowning. Hypothermic. Pain for only an instant, than fade away. Wow! Very thought provoking. Dark, mysterious. I love it!

This has such a dark spooky feel to it. The footprints really add to it. Very well composed and the lighting is great.

Some will say it's too dark but it really adds a dream like quality to it.

at first, the vignetting turned me off, but now I'm not so sure. I'm starting to think it represents an impaired vision, a tunnel vision. Perhaps if it were more irregular? It is a striking image. I'll give it a 7.

Really cool with footsteps going off pier. Lighting and composition are make the picture. The noise in sky is a bit distracting.

Well-done. Intersting to see the footprints leaving and not coming back. Raises questions: did he jump? Would he swim in that cold water? Was there a boat?

Nicely treated and I love how the foot prints lead your eye down the pier. Processing really helps overcome the centered leading line composition.
