Tried something different here; still wasn't happy with a pure B&W conversion, though I can't put my finger on why (bumping the contrast way up after the gradiant map burned the darks in way too much), so I went with a layer for the sky (not sure if I'm using those right, as I never read how to do it), and then toned it in the end.

University of East Anglia again. I'll get a shot of my building and post it here before the challenge ends, but this is down on the main campus (my building is across a field from the main campus; you'll understand when you see it).

The toning does add interest to B&W shots when the skies are completely blah. I'm not entirely sure why, either.

The modern archtecture and straight lines are in such interesting contrast to the sepia. That's a great choice you made. B/W would have been ordinary.

From the images so far, this place seems to be all square and straight lines. It seems unusual in a country were most of the buildings are decorated with good art and architectural accents.

This is really nice. I love the sepia tones with this. It gives it a nostalgic look that I love.

I really like the toning on this, also the lines of the railings and the lines of people really play well off eachother.
