I didn't actually propose to her here. I had proposed earlier in front of her parent's. However, we had planned this trip before I had proposed and she believed I would do it on a nice walk or a hike. So I somewhat created her ideal proposal for her. Naturally my camera and my tripod were handy so...

Not a lot done on this. Levels and black and white conversion in PSP using the channel mixer. I would have preferred keeping this in color but there were people walking up the path somewhat hidden by the trees. Had this been under the advanced ruleset I would have cloned them out because you could only see splashes of color.

I hope she said yes. The setting is great butthe couple almost get lost. I do like the overall picture though.

I wonder why you cropped off the bottom of the couple? A really good idea though.

Great scene - wish the people stood out from the background a little more

Beautiful scenery, and definitely meets the challenge. The framing seems awkward, though. I keep wanting to aim the camera a bit to the right, to get the tall tree on the left out of the shot, and get the people over to the left a little more.

I think this would have been perfect if the couple were moved to the left and not cut off. 8

Lovely scenery...and how sweet is the proposal!? The only distracting part of the image for me is their legs getting cut off.

Myself, I would have included the complete parts of the couple instead of cropping (whether in the actual photo or in editing) since they are the main story of the photo. By cropping out the feet etc., you have made the scenic shot the central piece and the people and their positioning as one of happenstance. Otherwise, a nice shot. Like that it is in B&W.

some people got in your shot of the mountains.

if you were on your knee next to him, shooting up his arm toward her loving face, with green trees and mountains blurred in the background, you'd have stronger composition and still be able to use your neat title. Looks like a beautiful place, I want to see it in it's full beautiful color.

I wish the guy wasn't cropped out of the shot, I would ahve stepped back or shot in portrait orientation.

I just wish you didn't amputate thise legs...then this could have been amazing...like it is, it's more of a snapshot than a well thought out composition
