Úff - I know the lightning is not good in this picture - the shadows are to harsh... But, as we did manage to paint my husband blue I just had to send the picture to the challenge.. I could have called it I love chasing my sons when I am blue because that was a fact, we all had a blast taking this picture so, here it goes...

Probably I will be feeling blue because I sent it in hihihi...

The title we thought was funny because it implifies that he always turns blue now and then LOL... hehem :o)

Initial Impressions: Great stylized blue portrait.

Composition: Great use of the entire frame. I like the fact you can see the whole arm. You also created some wonderful lines with the arm and the fingers. The pinky in line with wrinkles with the forehead is terrific. I like how the subject is looking down, but still engaging the viewer. I think I might have preferred a bit more depth in the fingers, yet keeping the body the same. Overall composition is nearly perfect.

Technicals: Sharpness is great as well as the contrast. Blue tint is perfect on the subject though it seems to bleed a bit on the top. Also isolating the white ( a slight blue tinge) on the bandanna would have added a bit. Maybe a little brightness enhancement in the whites of the eyes. Still technically it is quite good.

Overall: A wonderful picture that really evokes the emotion of hate. A nice score for an outstanding picture. Congrats.

Wow - you should consider joining the Blue Men in Vegas. Great shot and a perfect expression for this challenge.

Why would you turn blue? The lighting is good and I like the white background.

The lighting doesn't feel quite right... interesting idea though!

You obviously put a lot of effort into the shot, unless you were blue for some other reason. The exposure, focus, and composition are all good. I'm not in love with the concept. Good job overall.
